Ascend Ability was created to support NDIS participants in improving their physical health and independence through safe, structured exercise.
We believe movement should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their abilities or circumstances.
By delivering personal training directly in participants’ homes, we remove barriers that often make it difficult for individuals to access fitness support.
Our trainers focus on:
• Building strength safely • Improving mobility and balance • Supporting everyday functional movement • Increasing confidence and independence
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower NDIS participants through movement, helping them achieve greater independence, confidence, and wellbeing.
Our Approach
Every participant is unique, which is why we take a personalised approach to training.
We work closely with participants, carers, and support coordinators to ensure each program aligns with individual goals and NDIS plans.
Our sessions focus on:
• Safety first • Gradual progress • Encouragement and support • Real improvements in daily life

As Billy’s family, we are incredibly grateful for the support he has received through personal training with Ascend Ability.
During the Sydney lockdown, Billy gained over 10kg and struggled to stay active after his regular day programs and outdoor activities stopped. Because of his autism and schizophrenia, busy gym
environments can be overwhelming for him, so home-based training was the best option. The trainers created a simple and structured program that Billy could do in a comfortable and safe environment. They focused on basic strength training, regular exercise, and helping educate our family and support staff about improving his nutrition and daily activity.
Over the past 5 months, Billy has lost 12kg and reduced his waist size significantly.
Even more importantly, the positive changes in his overall wellbeing have been noticed by everyone around him. His support staff have mentioned that he has been experiencing fewer episodes since getting
back into regular training and exercise.
The trainers are patient, understanding, and genuinely passionate about helping people of all abilities improve their health and confidence. We would highly recommend Ascend Ability to any NDIS participants or families looking for supportive and professional personal
training.

As Feras’ mum, I’m incredibly grateful for the support he has received from Ascend Ability.
Feras is a 13-year-old NDIS participant with autism and has always struggled to gain weight and build strength. When he first started training he weighed only 35kg and lacked confidence physically and socially.
Over time, the team created a supportive program that helped him build strength, improve his posture, and feel more confident in himself.
Today Feras weighs 43kg, is noticeably stronger, stands taller with better posture, and has
grown so much in social confidence.
Seeing these changes in such a short time has been amazing for our family. I highly recommend Ascend Ability to any NDIS families looking for caring and professional support.

Before starting with Ascend Ability, Gemana relied on a walker to move around and had very limited mobility. Everyday tasks were becoming difficult and her confidence in her independence was very low.
The team took the time to understand Gemana’s abilities and created a safe and supportive training program focused on improving her strength, balance, and mobility. Everything was done at her pace and in a way that made her feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged.
Over the last 5 months the progr
ess has been incredible. Gemana has lost 10kg, but more importantly she has gained strength, confidence, and independence. One of the most amazing milestones was seeing her able to walk without relying on her walker anymore.
Watching Gemana become more mobile and more confident doing things for herself again has been life changing for our family.
The trainers genuinely care about the people they work with and go above and beyond to help
NDIS participants improve their health and quality of life. We highly recommend Ascend
Ability to any NDIS participants or families looking for supportive and professional personal
training.

As Michael’s mum, I wanted to share how grateful we are for the support he received through personal training with Ascend Ability.
Michael has Down syndrome and has always had a dream of completing the City2Surf with our family. With the guidance
and encouragement from the team, he began building up his fitness step by step through walking and gym-based personal training.
He started with shorter distances and gradually worked his way up to 7km, then 10km the week
before the event. The training was supportive, structured and really helped build his confidence and strength.
Two weeks ago, Michael achieved his dream and completed the full 14km City2Surf. Seeing him cross the finish line was an incredibly proud moment for our family.
The trainers are patient, caring and truly believe in helping people achieve their goals regardless of ability. I would highly recommend Ascend Ability to any NDIS participants or families looking for supportive and professional personal training.

As Vasili’s mum, I’m very grateful for the support he has received from Ascend Ability.
Vasili started training with them in Year 7 through his NDIS plan, and now that he’s in Year 10 it’s been amazing to see how much he has grown.
He has Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), which can make focus and concentration challenging. The structured training sessions have given him a positive outlet for his energy while helping him build strength, discipline and confidence.
Over time I’ve seen real improvements in his focus, his ability to follow instructions, and his confidence around others.
I highly recommend Ascend Ability to other NDIS families looking for supportive and
professional training.
